I did this last year and it was really fun! I had a great time even though my Secret Santa failed (she emailed me with a “I’m working on it!” and never followed through!). It was really fun to put together a gift for a stranger. Check out the photo tour of NYC I made last year!

I like basing my costume choices around comfortable shoes (to dance in for hours and hours) and a mustache (because I think it’s awesome and hilarious). One drunk girl asked if I was “Sexy Freddie Mercury,” and I let her know that statement was redundant.

I really love this, challenging yourself to do something outside of your comfort zone every week for a year. However, I feel like you have to address what you think it would be like to be an unknowing participant in each week’s task. Not how you’d feel to be blogged about, but if you were a person driving up I-95, would you stop for a hitch hiker? Have you before? And what makes you give money to buskers on the subway (for this week’s challenge)? I’ve never picked up a hitch hiker myself because it’s (supposedly) not safe for a lady to do so. It’s briefly crossed my mind, but I’m sorry to say that if I’d passed you on my way to Maine, I would not have stopped.
